We are excited to announce the revival of the JPay Art Contest. We are searching for incarcerated individuals to share their artwork in the theme of “Summer.” Your loved one has a chance to submit the winning design! The contest begins Wednesday, August 1, 2018 and ends Friday, August 31, 2018 at midnight.
Guidelines
- Participating locations include: California DOC, Georgia DOC, Kentucky DOC, New Jersey DOC, North Dakota DOC, Dakota Women's Correctional Rehab Center, Ohio DOC and Washington State DOC.
- By entering this contest you and the incarcerated individual agree to abide by these Official Rules and by the decision of the judges.
- You must be 18 years of age to enter and must be a resident of the United States. Void where prohibited by law.
- A family member, friend or lawyer will be able to submit an original work of art on behalf of the incarcerated individual. One submission per person.
- The contest is free to enter.
- Entries must be submitted by midnight, August 31, 2018. The winner will be announced on Wednesday, September 5, 2018.
- Respect fellow artist’s designs.
- A friend, family member or representative must submit the design on the behalf of the incarcerated individual.
- Only original artwork can be submitted. No artistic rendering can be submitted if copied or adapted from another source. It also cannot include third-party logos or copyrighted material.
- The design should be non-denominational and should incorporate the theme of “Summer.”
- Artist renderings that contain violence, drug use, profanity, gang signs, weapons or any sexual references will not be considered.
- Participants will be judged on creativity, originality, style and adherence to the theme.
- Be proud of your work! Each submission should include the incarcerated individual’s signature.
Prizes
- 1st place will win a $300.000 Walmart gift card
- 2nd place will win a $150.00 Walmart gift card
- 3rd place will win a $50.00 Walmart gift card
*Gift cards will be mailed to the family member, friend or representative who submitted the artwork on behalf of the incarcerated individuals.
How to enter:
To enter this contest, incarcerated individuals should send their design to the friend, family member or representative that is submitting on their behalf. The design should then be scanned and emailed to Facebook@jpay.com to enter for a chance win. Please include the incarcerated individual’s name, identification number and the facility they are currently incarcerated at. Submissions begin August 1, 2018 and the last day to submit is August 31, 2018. JPay’s Art Director will be the judge. He has over thirty years’ experience in art design and advertising. He will select the three winning designs and the winners will be announced on the JPay Facebook page on September 5, 2018.
Use of Entry and Name:
Pay may post submissions on its Facebook page and will post the name and state of each winner. Each winner consents to JPay’s use of his or her name and state for such purposes.
Limitation of Liability:
Except where prohibited by law, by entering this contest, entrants release and hold harmless JPay, its owners, directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability or any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this contest or acceptance or use of any prize won. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law.
Release:
JPay and its owners, directors, officers, employees and agents (the “Released Parties”) are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transfer of entry information, human error, technical malfunction, lost/delayed data transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof, inability to access web sites, damage to a user’s computer system (hardware and/or software) due to participation in this contest or any other problem or error that may occur, or for late, lost, inaccurate, incomplete, stolen, misdirected, mechanically reproduced, or illegible entries.
Not Affiliated with Facebook: This contest is not sponsored, endorsed, administered or associated in any manner whatsoever with Facebook. By entering this contest, entrants acknowledge that Facebook shall have no legal responsibility or liability to entrants.
Choice of Law: All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules or the rights and obligations of entrants and JPay in connection with this contest shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of New York.
